Dear sir/madam,
I’m contacting you as I’m interested in moving my boat and I was hoping that you could provide me with an initial estimate or quote for this job.
The boat I have is a 29 ft (8.9 meter) sailboat with a beam (width) of 9.45 ft (2.9 meter) and a total weight of 2 tonnes (1338 kg according to specs, 600 is the keel which is not attached). There mast and rigging is down and the keel is not attached to the boat, and although it has to be transported with the boat, the size of trailer would probably be similar to that of a small/light motorboat or a big dinghy.
I would like to ship it by road from Galatas, Greece (next to the island of Poros, 3h by car from Athens) to The Netherlands, somewhere around Rotterdam (location not yet finalised).
I’m wondering if you could provide me with an estimation of how much this would cost and if this would be something you would be able/willing to do. There is obviously no rush with this inquiry as Covid-19 has imposed lock-down on Greece and travel in general but I would like to be reasonably prepared when the restrictions are lifted.
